STEP 1 - AT LEAST ELEVEN WEEKS BEFORE THE DEFENCE
- You check with the ED that you have indeed obtained your 120 hours of training and you launch the defence procedure on ADUM.

STEP 2 - AT LEAST TEN WEEKS BEFORE THE DEFENCE

Procedure for UGA doctoral students only (for USMB students see below):

You will find the kit containing the tutorial for declaring the viva on your adum space, with all the information relating to the entry that must be made on your adum account.
When entering information about the composition of your jury, please be sure to indicate the precise status, employer, HDR and contact details of each member. You must also enter the thesis summaries. The thesis director will collect the curriculum vitae of all prospective members of the jury, both French and foreign, with detailed CVs including: date of birth, qualifications, exact academic title, current employer, record of research activities and any doctoral supervisions carried out.
- As specified in the tutorial, you must also submit:
The PDF of your manuscript (this may be amended up to 8 weeks before the defence).
All the supporting documents required by the establishment, in a single PDF.
All the supporting documents required by the ED, in a single PDF file.
- You can follow the progress of your application on your adum space.

Procedure for USMB doctoral students :

- On your personal ADUM space, you must click on ‘I would like to make my defence request’.
- You must complete the information relating to your defence and enter your jury: be sure to indicate the precise status, employers, HDRs and contact details of each member. You must also enter the thesis summaries. The thesis director will collect the curriculum vitae of all prospective members of the jury, both French and foreign, with detailed CVs including: date of birth, qualifications, exact academic title, current employer, record of research activities and any doctoral supervisions carried out.
- You must email the Doctoral School the documents edited from your ADUM account in PDF format:
The jury proposal signed by your thesis director
The CVs of all jury members
- Once your jury proposal has been signed by the ED director, the ED administrator will forward it to the USMB administrator, who will be responsible for the rest of the file.
